Internationally renowned Australian singer/songwriter Vanessa Amorosi is fresh from recording her new and highly anticipated fifth studio album in Los Angeles and Sweden.

The first energetic taste from her forthcoming album is the fierce pop-rock song This Is Who I Am. The distinctive hit single was produced by MachoPsycho (Pink) and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day) and has been delivered to Australian radio this week.

The video for This Is Who I Am was recently shot in Los Angeles and directed by Christopher R Watson who is better known for his work on the international hit TV series “CSI: New York”. The video will launch through all outlets on September 14.

This Is Who I Am follows Vanessa’s soulful and heartfelt Platinum hit single Perfect, which was the most played song by an Australian Artist on the 2008 National Airplay Chart (The Music Network – 22 December 2008). Perfect still remains in the Top 100 Airplay Chart after 73 weeks. Vanessa’s 2008 album Somewhere In The Real World also produced the hit singles Start It and Kiss Ya Mama! it achieved Top 5 position in the ARIA Album Chart and was Vanessa’s fourth Australian Gold album.
