Australia’s most powerful vocalist Vanessa Amorosi debuts at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with her new anthemic release This Is Who I Am.

Vanessa is the first Australian artist to debut at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart since Kylie Minogue’s Two Hearts in 2007.

After hearing the news Vanessa said; “I was completely overwhelmed when I heard This Is Who I Am came in at #1. I am so excited and thrilled to have the support from both the media and my fans. It is my first #1 single and I will absolutely treasure this moment!”

This Is Who I Am is the first single from her forthcoming album Hazardous which is set for release on November 6, 2009. Having sold in excess of two million albums worldwide Vanessa is set for a massive year ahead with the new album as well as setting out on tour in February 2010 as special guest for Rob Thomas.
